Date: 03-04/10/09 DBS Springbank narrowly missed out on a second victory in as many weeks at Ballindenisk last weekend. In joined 1st position on a dressage score of 28.5 penalties going into the xcountry it came down to the horse who completed the course closest to the optimum time of 6 minutes 10 seconds. In a twist of fortune Rory's watch failed to start and although he took his time around the course Bruce's long gallop stride still left him 50 seconds under the optimum time and unfortunately in 2nd place! In the Intro class Rory steered Pat Kavanagh's 4 year old Cougar gelding Brittas Lad (Jack) into 2nd place in his first event, finishing on their dressage score of 30 penalties. |

| Description: | |||
| Bruce is an impressive big horse with plenty of scope and ablilty. He's always a pleasure to ride on the flat and brave across the country. Kiltealy Spring has sired many top event horses, one of which being Fernhill Clover Mist who represented Ireland in the Bejing Olympics and won the CIC*** World Cup Qualifier at Tattersalls in 2009. Bruce will certainly be one for the future. | ![]() |
