The British Horse Society examinations are internationally
recognised qualifications designed to meet the requirements
of the riding instructor, yard manager and those who wish to
further their knowledge of riding, stable management and
horse care.
There are a number of BHS examinations and qualifications you
could work for depending upon whether you have professional
or recreational aspirations.
Before embarking on a career with horses it is important to
carefully select the
place of training. At Dunbyrne Stud we have many years of experience in training students for both the BHSAI - Assistant Instructor and BHSII - Intermediate Instructor qualifications.
Each qualification is completed in stages and pupils can commence
study as young 14yrs of age.
All of the Stage examinations are divided into two sections –
Horse Care and Riding. These sections can be taken separately
but to achieve the complete qualification, candidates must pass
both sections of the examination and be members of the British
Horse Society.
